'I SIT ON THE WALL' From Visual Counterpoint

I sit on the wall and see
The miracle of the day,
I sit on the wall and watch
Wild horses enter the bay,
I sit on the wall and maybe
The old fisherman will come my way,
With tales from the open sea,
And love for everything free.

Very interesting poem, Liz. I love seals - think they always look so darn cute!

I am sorry Guido, I am unable to navigate this or the real world at the moment.

But I have written 2 more verses to this song so I write them here, as I have no confidence in my ability to post them properly.

I stand on the shore and see
Beyond the horizon - the sun,
I stand on the shore and watch
The day before it's begun,
I stand on the shore and maybe
My work has not yet been done,
With the Earth bending light to me
From far across the open sea.

I lie on the earth and see
Stars circling overhead,
I lie on the earth and watch
Light fall in the words I read,
I lie on the earth and maybe
I will write in the sand instead
With tales from the open sea,
And love for everything free.

My best wishes to everyone who has read my blog especially those that took the time to leave comments that encouraged me to continue. I am sorry I feel unable to do so.

PS I have written the second verse down wrong. It should read on line 3/4
I stand on the shore and watch
The dawn before it's begun

This is of course a reference to the fact we see the sun above the horizon before it has actually risen just as we continue to be able to see it after it has in fact dropped below the horizon at sunset. Like a mirage, the atmosphere bends the image of the sun to us.
