Leader of the Pack

'STRENGTH IN NUMBERS' From Words from Thought

The Joker in the pack is always wild,
Laughter holds the key to freedom,
Smile and you are halfway there,
Take time and you will learn to dare,
To vocalise your thoughts,
Then stand-alone within the pack,
Create a moment past today,
Despite anything you could ever try to say,
For the joke must lie with the wildest card,
And the laughter lives with the Joker.

I must be a joker, because I love to laugh. That title reminds me of the old song from the 60's, by The Shirelles. Wonderful photo of reflections, though.

Rose, thank you for your comment. I value your thoughts highly.
I think you refer to a song that tells of a biker that dies whilst trying to be 'Leader of his pack'
He was no Joker. He thought he was the Ace Rider of the Road.
Anyone who plays cards for gain gambles, as this young man did with his life and lost.
Those who allow a joker to join in the game know that card can defeat any Ace with laughter.
Surely that is a better way to go?

The Shangri-La's sang it-
her dad said she had to find someone new,she told him they were through and he drove off and wrecked and got killed....
but anyway... lovely photo
lovely poem to go with it-as always

Oops! Sorry about the band slip-up. I knew it started with an "S", but got the name messed up. I should have looked up my old pile of LP's. Indeed, the better way to go, is with the joker. I am not much of a gambler - and never for gain, anyways. ((HUGS))

Connie, I hear a different song now.
'O mio babbino caro.'
O mio babbino caro (Oh my dear papa) is an aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi (1918), by Giacomo Puccini, to a libretto by Giovacchino Forzano.[1] It is sung by Lauretta after tensions between Schicchi and his prospective in-laws have reached a breaking point that threatens to separate her from Rinuccio, the boy she loves.
