From Visual Counterpoint

With the disrespect of nature for a neat edge,
A small animal toiled through the night,
Living in a hidden world without light,
Heaving brown hills over level green sedge,
Declaring an older right to the land,
Rebounding from foreign frontiers,
With a determination that endears
Me to a wild creature’s courageous stand.

i came here via magic smoke, or rather guido. i have perused your blogs and have to tell you, i am very impressed. your photography is amazing in and of itself, but the poetry.....wow.

this one i really liked. i could picture the poor little gopher underground trying to find its way back in and out of what man has walled up.

by the way, not sure if you would be interested, but being a poet myself, i needed a place i felt i belonged. i found it in a small poetry group on yahoo groups. the group can be found at nostalgiaramblings.com. i have never felt so at home as i do there. wonderful people from all walks of life and from all over the globe. just a thought.

i will be back to read more now that i know you exist.....
